We pride ourselves on going that little bit further in providing our customers with a first class service and the garden that they desire. We also have extensive knowledge of all aspects of sports turf maintenance including bowling greens, cricket pitches, golf greens, grass tennis and winter sports areas.

We have recently been involved in the re- establishment of the sports areas at Fitz park including the grass tennis courts for Keswick Lawn tennis club and bowling green for Fitz Park Bowling club after the devastation of storm Desmond. We have carried out extensive works including removal of debris and re establishing the playing surfaces.

We’ve also been helping Dave Mitchell groundsman at Carlisle United FC to aerate the pitch using our Toro Pro core as part of his extensive renovation program after having the pitch at Brunton Park re-laid.

Mike and Peter have always had an infinitive towards Fitz Park Bowling Club, Keswick, even before they formed their own Company.  They were often seen down at our green giving members suitable advice as to how to keep the green in excellent condition.  The green was being recognised by County Officials as one of the best, if not the best in the County.

Just over 2 years ago they both joined our Club as playing members, and shortly after their arrival 'Storm Desmond' arrived on the 5/6th December 2015, flooding our green and Club house under 5 feet of water. Two days after the flooding, they helped organise a party of members and friends to spend the whole day clearing the green of mud, silt and debris with snow shovels.

With their expertise they quickly went about restoring the green to its former glory.  Members and visiting players quickly commented that the green was in better condition than it was before the flood.

Mike and Peter were already heavily committed to other sporting organisations.  Following the work on our green their credit ratings increased and word spread to other sporting clubs who now employ them. Our Club would have no hesitation, in highly recommending them to anyone who requires any garden landscaping or maintenance work carried out.

Secretary Fitz Park Bowling Club, Keswick

We have always had fantastic support from Greta Garden Services. We hired their Toro procore regularly with just the results we needed. We can aerate the whole pitch in less than three hours prior to a match and you would hardly know the work had been done. Their knowledge and enthusiasm is superb and I would highly recommend their services.

Dave Mitchell
Carlisle United, Groundsman
